Love Your Home Again.

We give families in Grand Rapids an exceptional remodel experience.

DON'T SETTLE FOR OUTDATED AND IMPRACTICAL

You want to love every room of your home. But if you’re honest, parts of your space feel like a compromise. Maybe the bedrooms are too small or the kitchen’s layout just doesn’t work. Maybe the basement’s going unused or the bathroom looks like it’s from the 80s.

You don’t have to settle for a home that doesn’t work for you.

Whether you have another baby on the way or your kids have moved out to start their next chapter… Whether your needs have changed over the years or you never liked your home’s style to begin with… Whether you want to become the go-to place for family and friends or you want a haven where you can get away from it all…

We’ll help you love your home again.

GRAND RAPIDS
HOME REMODELING
DONE BETTER

You shouldn’t trust just anyone with your remodel. Some contractors make promises but don’t deliver. They rush the job, use cheap materials, and leave your entire home a mess just to work on one room.

At VADA Contracting, we think Grand Rapids deserves better. We’re homeowners and family people too. We’ll put your needs first from the start.

Here's how we deliver:

1. Book a consultation

Show us your space, share your frustrations and together we’ll reimagine what’s possible.

2. Eliminate the question marks

Our process gives you peace of mind that it’s going to be done right. Hassle-free. No cut-rate craftsmen. No messes in your yard. No angry neighbors.

3. love your space

Get the square footage, style, and flow that make you feel right at home every day.

We won’t just hand you a piece of paper with a number on it. Instead, we’ll create a detailed proposal so you can see exactly what we’ll do and approximately how much it will cost to do it. That way, everyone is on the same page from start to finish.
We can’t typically guarantee a project will be completed in a set amount of time. A lot of factors beyond our control—like weather, supply chain or market changes, or simply human factors—can affect the timing. We will give you an estimate and continue to hone the timeline as we work on your project.

Our own VADA team members tend to do most of the work, but we also utilize trusted subcontractors. All subcontractors are thoroughly vetted and before we start a project, we’ll provide you with a list of all the subcontractors we’ll use along with their license numbers and insurance information.

We work with you every step of the way to make a plan, including the design of your space. Oftentimes, we’ll refer you to designers we trust so you can have a design you love.

We want the quality of our work to be guaranteed by our team. This helps us keep the process running smoothly. Because of this, we don’t allow anyone who is not on our trusted team of subcontractors to work on the project with us.

A VADA representative will be present at the project site every day and is available to answer your questions. If you have a concern, you’re always welcome to contact Dominic.

Emails are great for non-urgent questions, texting for everyday questions, and phone calls for emergencies. Our team is always available to answer your questions on the job site or any time of day.

Yes! And we do background checks on all subcontractors (verifying their employment history, confirming they don’t have a criminal record, and ensuring they are trustworthy!) and we pull permits for all the work we do.
We do our best to use our knowledge and expertise to let you know what to expect price-wise before we even start demolition. We’ve seen most situations before, so we’ll keep you informed at every step of the process if extra expenses come up.
We are happy to make changes if you want them, but any change order will make an impact on both the timeline and cost of the project. We will draft a separate contract for the change order. Change order fees are due at the time of issue.
We accept checks, credit card payments through the Joist app, PayPal, FHA loans, and inspection payouts.

We require 50% down before we start a project, then we will put together a payment plan that works for you. Remember—change order fees are due at the time of issue.

Mess happens with any big remodel project! We do our best to keep the dust as controlled as possible. This includes providing floor and surface protection. We also do lead and asbestos testing on all projects and make sure that any issue is resolved with a mitigation company.

That’s up to you! We’ve found things typically go smoother if you move out or take all of your personal belongings out of the space we’re renovating. Previous clients have opted to live in another area of their home or with a friend or relative.

If your pets don’t mind, we don’t mind! Many members of our team are pet owners themselves. We have no problem working with pets in the house (and if you need us to let them out during the day, all you need to do is ask!)
